Aspberry Sour & Pennsylvania Long Rifle

Writer's picture: Liberty Pole SpiritsLiberty Pole Spirits

Since two is always better than one, we've decided to double up on cocktail recipes for this post. Pictured on the left is the Aspberry Sour and pictured on the right is the Pennsylvania Long Rifle.

Aspberry Sour

This drink is a twist on a classic whiskey sour, developed by Kevin and named by Steve. The cocktail has nothing to do with the venomous asp snakes found along the Nile, but it is sure to knock you on your "asp."

Ingredients

2 oz. Bourbon

1 oz. Red Pump Raspberry Liqueur

1 oz. Lemon Juice

1 oz. Lime Juice

1/2 oz. Simple Syrup

1 egg white

Combine all ingredients in shake and dry shake. Add ice a shake again. This method allows the egg white to create a foam, adding nice texture to the cocktail. Pour into a coupe glass a garnish with a lime slice.

Pennsylvania Long Rifle

This is really a classic cocktail known as The Revolver. But of course, since it is made with Liberty Pole Spirits, we had to name it after the rifle they used during the Rebellion.

Ingredients

2 oz. Liberty Pole Spirits Bourbon

1/2 oz Coffee Flavored Liqueur

2 drops of orange bitters

Stir over ice. Strain into a cordial glass. Rim the glass with an orange peel, twist it, and drop it into the glass.
