Cinco de Mayo is almost here and that can only mean one thing... Margaritas. Well, in our case, "Mingo"ritas. Named after the Mingo Creek Society, of course.
What's the secret to a good margarita? Two things: good whiskey and fresh squeezed limes. Sometimes the simplest things in life are the best.
Ingredients
2 oz. Bassett Town
2 oz. Lime Juice
1 oz. Combier Orange Liquour
1 oz. Simple Syrup
1/2 dropper of Black Lime Bitters
Shake all ingredients on ice and strain into coupe glass. Garnish with a lime twist or a slice of lime.
Simple Syrup
1 part water
1 part sugar
Boil until sugar dissolves and let cool before using.
